Stunning photos present a ruined citadel, after as soon as being house to a Prime Minister and a Hollywood actress’ household.
Sprawling Dalquharran Castle sits in a South Ayrshire forest in Scotland, simply over six miles from the coastal city of Girvan.
It has been deserted for 70 years following WW2, because it was too giant and costly to keep up, and now has bushes surrounding it and even by way of it.
Former Prime Minister Herbert Asquith stayed there – as did the great-grandfather of Helena Bonham Carter.
