A flock of cloistered nuns escaped their almost 400-year-old Italian monastery after a devastating hearth broke out late Saturday night, swallowing up troves of priceless artifacts.

The 21 nuns dwelling on web site escaped whereas the blaze raged by the Bernaga Monastery in La Valletta Brianza, a commune simply outdoors of Milan.
