Three carabinieri militarized cops have been killed, and one other 13 carabinieri and cops have been injured in an explosion allegedly set by three middle-aged siblings who had been combating eviction from a household farm close to the northeastern Italian metropolis of Verona early Tuesday, authorities mentioned.

Two brothers and a sister, recognized as Dino, Franco, and Maria Luisa Rampini, have been detained in reference to the explosion within the city of Castel d’Azzano, 10 kilometers (six miles) southwest of Verona, police mentioned.

They have been being investigated for premeditated murder, chief prosecutor Raffaele Tito instructed reporters on the scene.
