TIRANA, Albania (AP) — Kosovo warfare veterans and 1000’s of their supporters gathered Friday within the Albanian capital, Tirana, in a protest in opposition to a European Union-backed court prosecuting their former fighters who waged the 1998-99 warfare for independence from Serbia, claiming the tribunal is biased and unjust.

Demonstrators from Kosovo and different European nations crammed Tirana’s most important Skanderbeg Square in help of arrested former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army, or KLA — a former Kosovo Albanian guerrilla group that led the combat for independence.
