An 80-year-old cruise passenger was left to die on a distant island after being deserted by her cruise ship throughout an $80,000 once-in-a-lifetime voyage — as cops are asking why nobody realized she was lacking for hours.
The lady, who hasn’t been recognized publicly, was on a climbing tour of Lizard Island — a rugged nature protect on the Great Barrier Reef — with fellow passengers from the Coral Adventurer cruise ship on Saturday when she is believed to have separated from the group, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation reported.
