BERN, Switzerland — The very first thing that hits you on the World Cheese Awards is the scent.
As the thirty seventh version — half competitors, half a celebration of cheese — kicked off in Switzerland on Thursday, some guests would possibly want the choices had extra holes. With descriptions of odors together with “stinky socks” and “sick dog,” it’s clearly a competition — and a problem — for the nostril as a lot as mouths, fingers and eyes.
