Kibbutz Nir Oz is rebuilding — slowly. 

This once-idyllic, idealistic neighborhood of 415 residents was among the many hardest hit by the Oct. 7, 2023, bloodbath. 

Hamas and different terrorists murdered or kidnapped 117 folks from the kibbutz — a couple of in 4 residents. 

Now the residing hostages and all however two of the lifeless have returned to Israel, and the warfare feels restricted to models combating Hamas in Gaza tunnels and the occasional sound of artillery fireplace within the distance. 

Life is returning to a spot marked by loss of life for thus lengthy.
