WASHINGTON — Europe plans to ship $105 billion in a mortgage to maintain Ukraine within the battle for one more two years in opposition to Russia, as peace talks proceed with the United States.

The deal, struck after marathon talks in Brussels, will funnel wanted money to Kyiv via a mortgage backed by the European Union’s personal finances.

“This will address the urgent financial needs of Ukraine,” European Council President Antonio Costa informed reporters on Friday.
