Ancient Egyptian pharaoh’s boat is being restored at record-breaking museum
CAIRO (AP) — A ship belonging to an Egyptian pharaoh is being assembled in full view at the Grand Egyptian Museum’s exhibition corridor.
Staff started piecing collectively the cedarwood boat, certainly one of two that have been discovered that belong to King Khufu, Tuesday morning as dozens of tourists watched.
The meeting of the 42-meter (137-foot) -long vessel, which sits subsequent to its already-assembled twin that has been on show, is predicted to take round 4 years, in accordance with Issa Zeidan, head of restoration on the Grand Egyptian Museum. It comprises 1,650 picket items.
