The “Nothing Beats a Jet2 Holiday” meme is taking on. TikTok customers have been appropriating the catchphrase and jingle from Jet2 ads to emphasise chaotic or random trip moments since late 2024.

This week, @capitalofficial shared an interview with the voice of Jet2, Zoe Lister. Lister stated the social media parodies of her business are in every single place.

“It’s really gone completely nuts,” she stated. “The last few months it’s just been ramping up and ramping up. And the videos are getting funnier.”

The meme has expanded to incorporate humorous and ironic moments of all types, and movies that function the sound are popping up throughout TikTok. They appear to be saying “it can’t get any worse.” Laugh about it so that you don’t cry.

“Darling, hold my hand”: the Jet2 business (and pop music) that began all of it 

The “Nothing Beats a Jet2 Holiday” meme options audio from a Jet2 internet and radio commercial that aired in December 2022. The business depicts a joyful household trip set to Jess Glynne’s music “Hold My Hand.”

The British airline’s advertising technique has included “Hold My Hand” since 2016. The music performs at airports, departure gates, and in-flight, onboard Jet2 flights. 

However, Jess Glynne can’t escape the affiliation. Fans shouted the Jet2 slogan because the musician carried out “Hold My Hand” in live performance not too long ago, recreating the meme in actual life.

Viral “Nothing Beats a Jet2 Holiday” TikToks 

A video of @charlotteoandr’s seat on a Jet2 flight went viral with 32 million views again in April. The TikTok creator shared photos of herself on a makeshift seat in the midst of a very packed flight. 

The Jet2 audio has been utilized to different viral movies of holidays gone awry: somebody being attacked by a camel, bathers soaking in moist cement, and rafters pummeled by whitewater.
