Five folks have been killed after a cable on a suspension bridge snapped in northwestern China’s Xinjiang area, inflicting them to fall off the bridge, state-run information company Xinhua reported on Thursday.

The incident, which came about at 6:18 p.m. on Wednesday in a sightseeing space within the Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture, injured an additional 24 folks, Xinhua mentioned.

The scenic space has been closed whereas the incident is being investigated, Xinhua mentioned.
