MILAN, Nov 24 (Reuters) – Italian police raided two Amazon AMZN.O websites on Monday as a part of a rising investigation into alleged customs and tax fraud involving Chinese imports, three sources with direct information of the case stated.

Prosecutors suspect the e-commerce big acted like a “Trojan horse,” bringing Chinese items into Italy with out paying gross sales taxes or customs duties, in line with a court doc seen by Reuters.
