
Archeologists uncover historic treasures in 2,000-year-old shipwreck
A 2,000-year-old shipwreck off the coast of Turkey has yielded lots of of well-preserved ceramics, providing an interesting glimpse into historic maritime commerce.
The shipwreck web site dubbed the Ceramic Wreck dates again to the Late Hellenistic and Early Roman intervals of the nation’s historical past.
The web site dates again between the second century B.C. and the primary century A.D.
The Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism introduced the invention in a press launch on June 28.
The wreck is positioned some 150 toes beneath the floor of the Mediterranean Sea, close to the coast of Turkey’s Antalya Province.
