Boeing should pay $28M to household of UN marketing consultant killed in Ethiopia crash, jury guidelines
A federal court jury has awarded over $28 million to the household of a United Nations marketing consultant who died within the crash of a Boeing 737 Max jetliner in Ethiopia greater than six years in the past.
The verdict was reached Wednesday on behalf of the family of Shikha Garg after two hours of jury deliberation that capped a weeklong trial in Chicago, the place Boeing used to have its headquarters. It was the primary civil trial stemming from the March 2019 catastrophe that killed all 157 individuals on board Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302.
