A person was arrested on Monday after ramming his automobile into the gates of the Russian consulate in Sydney, Australian police mentioned.

The police diplomatic safety unit responded to a request for help from the Russian consulate after an unauthorized car was parked within the driveway, an Australian Federal Police spokesperson mentioned in a press release.

New South Wales Police mentioned its officers responded shortly after 8 a.m. and tried to talk to the motive force earlier than he drove his car into the gates of the consulate within the Sydney suburb of Woollahra.
