
Egypt reopens large tomb of Pharaoh Amenhotep III after over 20 years of renovation
Egypt on Saturday opened a tomb of a pharaoh for guests after greater than twenty years of renovation within the southern metropolis of Luxor, because it prepares for the official opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo.
The enormous tomb of Amenhotep III, who dominated historical Egypt between 1390 B.C. and 1350 B.C., is situated on the western facet of the famed Valley of the Kings.
It was present in 1799 by two individuals and its contents had been looted, together with the sarcophagus, Egyptian antiquities authorities stated.
