
Experts intrigued after thrift shopper spots mysterious historic artifacts for less than $30
A discount hunter just lately noticed historic artifacts, together with rings and medallions, that have been up on the market for a mere $30.
The buyer observed the treasures at a thrift retailer in Chilliwack, Canada, round 60 miles east of Vancouver. Simon Fraser University, a public college in British Columbia that finally obtained the finds, introduced the donation in a Sept. 24 press launch.
Employees at Thrifty Boutique, a retailer run by the Chilliwack Hospice Society, alerted the varsity after a buyer with an archaeology background observed the jewellery and its “potential archaeological significance.”
