It was a sky-high rip-off.

A co-pilot allegedly cast certificates to qualify himself for a captain place with a Lithuanian airline — and helmed flights carrying a whole lot of passengers all through Europe.

The fake flyer, whose identification was not disclosed, served as a captain for Lithuanian airline Avion Express for an unspecified time period. He apparently lacked the required {qualifications} and had solely ever labored as a co-pilot with Garuda Indonesia, German outlet Aero Telegraph reported.

Avion Express, a “wet-lease” firm that makes a speciality of offering plane and full crews to different airways, confirmed that it employed the pilot, who has since been eliminated.
