
Flight from Australia delayed after engine erupts in flames in ‘scary’ incident
Passengers on board a Rex Airlines flight from Adelaide have caught the second flames and smoke began billowing out of the engine simply after takeoff was aborted.
The Saab 340 twin-turboprop was because of depart for Broken Hill shortly after 7 a.m. on Wednesday when a fault indicator signalled an issue with the left engine.
The engine was shut down, however unburnt gas is known to have caught fireplace contained in the engine.
