The American vacationer stabbed defending two ladies from vicious thugs on a tram in Germany revealed he was practically blinded from the assault – however declared he’ll put on his scars with “pride” in his first interview because the horrifying ordeal.

“I felt the man drag his knife across my face and cut through my nose. But I will wear my scar with pride,” 21-year-old John Rudat advised journalist Julian Reichelt.

“I came so close to losing my eyesight,” he added. “What I did, I would have done for anyone, of any skin color.”
