The head of Israel’s Mossad spy company visited Qatar on Thursday to revive the cease-fire and hostage alternate talks with Hamas, officers mentioned.

David Barnea met with Qatari Prime Minister Abdulrahman al-Thani in hopes of restarting the peace talks, which have been left frozen after Israel and the US exited Doha and accused Hamas of not negotiating in good religion, two officers with the Jewish state instructed Reuters.

Barnea’s journey comes as Hamas reportedly despatched its personal negotiation crew to Cairo to try to revive the peace talks, with the fear group claiming it was open to ceding its energy in Gaza, however not its weapons.
