Kyiv bracing for hardest winter of struggle, as 60% of pure fuel manufacturing misplaced to Russian strikes
Kyiv residents are bracing for what might be the hardest winter of the struggle in Ukraine, with Moscow raining down document numbers of missiles and drones whereas focusing on the war-torn nation’s power infrastructure.
Districts within the capital metropolis have been on a rolling blackout schedule, as an estimated 60% of pure fuel manufacturing capability has been misplaced as a result of Russian strikes, based on the International Energy Agency.
“The power outages, unfortunately, are just everyday life,” Kyiv resident Dmytro Kustov, 29, instructed the AFP, including his energy now goes out twice a day, for 4 hours at a time.
