Melting mountain reveals ‘rare’ 1,500-year-old searching facility — that also smells like reindeer
An historical reindeer lure and weapons not too long ago emerged from Norway’s melting mountains, stunning archaeologists and giving them a glimpse into mountain life 1,500 years in the past.
The discovery, introduced by the Vestland County Municipality on Nov. 10, was made on the Aurlandsfjellet plateau in Sogn, a distant area in western Norway.
Archaeologists from the University Museum of Bergen and Vestland County labored collectively to doc the positioning.
The analysis started when a hiker seen wood logs close to the melting ice and reported them to native authorities.
