Jaw-dropping footage captured the second an iconic pirate crusing ship sank off the coast of a Mexican resort city — leaving locals mourning the lack of a bit of their “soul.”
The Marigalante, a reproduction of Christopher Columbus’ famed galleon, the Santa Maria, took on water because it tried to return to port for repairs in Puerto Vallarta Friday afternoon, in line with Pirate Ship Vallarta, the corporate that operated the long-lasting vacationer attraction.
The picket vessel was traversing via the Pacific waters to return for technical repairs when it turned inoperable close to the Buenaventura Hotel within the Mexican state of Jalisco.
