An emergency has been declared on a cruise ship after a “passenger went overboard,” a vacationer claims.
Passengers on the Norwegian Jewel – at the moment en route from Barcelona to Miami – say they had been woken up at 2 a.m. with “code Oscar starboard” blaring out of the audio system – a maritime emergency sign for an individual overboard.
A passenger claims workers on the cruise confirmed somebody had “gone overboard” and the cruise ship is in “search and rescue mode” – at the moment circling the Atlantic Ocean.
The Norwegian cruise liner set sail from Barcelona on October 15.
