
Poland deploys plane after Russia launches strikes on Ukraine
Sept 20 (Reuters) – Polish and allied plane had been deployed early on Saturday to make sure the protection of Polish airspace after Russia launched airstrikes concentrating on western Ukraine close to the border with Poland, armed forces of the NATO-member nation mentioned.
“Polish and allied aircraft are operating in our airspace, while ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems have been brought to the highest state of readiness,” the operational command mentioned in a submit on X.
At 0340 GMT, almost all of Ukraine was underneath air raid alerts following Ukrainian Air Force warnings of Russian missile and drone assaults.
