Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered 135,000 males to be conscripted into the military, the biggest autumn draft held by the Kremlin in 9 years.

“From Oct. 1 to Dec. 31, 2025, conscript 135,000 Russian citizens aged 18 to 30 who are not in the reserve and are subject to enlistment into military service,” the decree states, based on the TASS state-owned information company.

Vladimir Tsimlyansky, head of the Russian General Staff’s mobilization division, has additionally insisted that the conscripted troopers is not going to be deployed to the forces presently invading Ukraine, a promise Moscow has been beforehand accused of breaking.
