Moscow is about to mass produce its new hypersonic ballistic missile able to carrying nuclear warheads, which Russian President Vladimir Putin touted as a weapon able to besting any US-made system.

Putin ordered officers to ramp up manufacturing of the Oreshnik intermediate-range missile this week, which made a stunning debut final November when it was used to assault a Ukrainian navy web site in Dnipro.

“Serial manufacturing of the newest Oreshnik medium-range missile system is below approach,” Putin informed graduating navy cadets in Moscow.
