Russian troops driving on rusty motorbikes and on the roofs of battered vehicles stormed the fog-covered Ukrainian metropolis of Pokrovsk on Tuesday — in a scene straight out of the post-apocalyptic “Mad Max” film franchise, surprising video exhibits.

Footage from Russian conflict bloggers exhibits the reinforcements being despatched to Pokrovsk, a logistical hub in jap Ukraine that has been a goal for 21 months, with the troops wanting much less like troopers and extra like marauders from George Miller’s 1979 dystopian flick.

The troopers may very well be seen driving towards Pokrovsk in bands of bikes and in vehicles and vans with open roofs and lacking doorways and home windows — all whereas lined in a heavy fog.
