A video of Rebecca Joens’ canine, Georgia, barking at a 100-year-old portray she bought from Etsy has gone viral with over 2.3 million views on TikTookay.

In the clip, shared on Aug. 18, 2025, the hound canine is seen barking at a portrait of a girl held on a wall throughout the room.

In a follow-up video, Joens revealed that she “doubled down” and bought the portrait of the girl’s husband after the Etsy vendor contacted her concerning the haunted portrait’s companion. Joens mused that Georgia barked as a result of the spouse missed her husband—not as a result of the portray was possessed. 

“To be fair, Georgia once barked at my son’s reflection in a mirror. So maybe she’s not, like, the brightest paranormal authority out there,” she stated. Despite this, the put up resonated with commenters who took the hound canine’s response to imply that the vintage portraits are seemingly inhabited by ghosts.

Pleased with the side-by-side husband and spouse portraits, Joens defined in a follow-up video, “This woman has a story to tell. Like, there’s wisdom here. You know, she just looks wise… I’m seeing, like, a good amount of kindness in her eyes.”

Joens is an antiques collector and artist whose house stuffed with curiosities has been featured in Country Living journal. Unbothered by her pup’s response, she requested, “Hey, what’s one more cursed antique at this point?”
