A California Walmart shopper notices a weird new set up on the finish of some aisles. Viewers attempt to determine what the partitions are for.

Why did Walmart set up aisle partitions?
In a video with over 403,000 views, TikToker @thebiteo87 factors to a transparent partition on the finish of an aisle, with the Walmart emblem within the heart.
“Do you see this? What the [expletive] is this?” they ask.
The partition seems to dam clients from coming into an aisle on either side, which suggests they need to take an alternate path to the product their in search of.

Walmart has not launched a press release clarifying why the shop has clear partitions on some aisles. The Daily Dot reached out to Walmart for additional clarification.
What do viewers assume the partitions are for?
In the feedback, a number of viewers recommend that the partitions are a brand new anti-theft technique for the retailer.
“I think it’s so people can’t take makeup and sprint out of the store,” a commenter says.
“People swipe everything off the shelf and run. it’s probably a high theft store and they’re testing to see if they can slow thieves’ exit from the store with product,” one other suggests.
Walmart has beforehand garnered criticism for its aggressive anti-theft measures, resembling locking merchandise behind plexiglass and using plainclothed loss prevention staff to comply with clients across the retailer.
Some recommend that the plexiglass limitations may very well be a security concern.
“How can you get out of there when there’s a shooting because lord knows there will be,” one says.
“I feel like that’s a giant fire hazard,” one other provides.
“How is this fire safe?” a 3rd asks.
“Wow this looks sooo fun to navigate in my wheelchair!! can’t wait to burn myself out trying to get to the other side of the store,” a fourth viewer remarks.
However, others joke concerning the partitions.
“Goes to Walmart and sees the mart wall and complains,” one writes.
