The rapper’s third and newest mixtape, “My Face Hurts from Smiling,” was initially launched on June 27, 2025. On September 5, 2025, it was re-released as “My Face Still Hurts from Smiling (Deluxe)” with 9 extra tracks, together with “STFU” that includes Lil Jon.

In an Instagram submit following the re-release, Lizzo defined she made the track “STFU” in response to runaway web discourse. She wrote, “I feel like WE ARE IN DISCOURSE HELL.”

Lizzo referenced web customers’ loud, “oftentimes uneducated” opinions and advised, “I believe we are losing the ability to think for ourselves and therefore are easier to control.” 

The “STFU” music video builds on the brilliant, playful millennial internet artwork retro aesthetic of the mixtape that glorifies “a simpler time” on the web. Lizzo seems in a Lisa Frank meets Windows 98 panorama, adorned with smiley faces, sporting sun shades, and levitating in lotus pose.

Lil Jon is portrayed as a literal solar within the sky, a la Teletubbies, barking, “Shut the [expletive] up.” Lizzo slaps away browser pop-ups and superimposed phrases like “viral,” “fascism,” and “fake friends.”
